چکیده
A problem of the drawing of aesthetically looking graphs, related to business process diagrams, is considered. We model a situation where sites of flow objects of the diagram are fixed, and the sequence flow is defined. The edges of a graph, which represent the sequence flow, should be drawn aiming at an aesthetical image. The latter problem is reformulated as a multi-objective combinatorial optimization problem. The generally recognized criteria of aesthetical presentation, such as general length of lines, number of crossings, and number of bends, are considered the objectives to be minimized. Two algorithms are developed for the stated problem taking into account its specifics. The efficiency of the developed algorithms is evaluated experimentally using randomized test problems of different

The multi-objective decision making methods based on MULTIMOORA and MOOSRA for the laptop selection problem
A decision making process requires the values of conflicting objectives for alternatives and the selection of the best alternative according to the needs of decision makers. Multi-objective optimization methods may provide solution for this selection. In this paper it is aimed to present the laptop selection problem based on MOORA plus full multiplicative form (MULTIMOORA) and multi-objective o...
متن کاملReasoning about Reliability and Cost using Decision Diagrams and Syntax Trees
Reliability is an increasingly important aspect in the design of systems, especially networks and service offerings. Optimization here is a multi-criteria process finding the right compromise between cost and quality. At the same time, results should be explored online, either as part of interactive, user-centric design tools or for Web based service negotiation. In this paper we consider a gen...
متن کاملSimultaneous high hydrogen content-synthesis gas production and in-situ CO2 removal via sorption-enhanced reaction process: modeling, sensitivity analysis and multi-objective optimization using NSGA-II algorithm
The main focus of this study is improvement of the steam-methane reforming (SMR) process by in-situ CO2 removal to produce high hydrogen content synthesis gas. Sorption-enhanced (SE) concept is applied to improve process performance. In the proposed structure, the solid phase CO2 adsorbents and pre-reformed gas stream are introduced to a gas-flowing solids-fixed bed reactor (GFSFBR). One dimens...
متن کاملDiscovering groups of key potential customers in social networks: A multi-objective optimization model
Nowadays, the popularity of social networks as marketing tools has brought a deal of attention to social networks analysis (SNA). One of the well-known Problems in this field is influence maximization problems which related to flow of information within networks. Although, the problem have been considered by many researchers, the concept behind of this problem has been used less in business con...
متن کاملSolving Critical Path Problem in Project Network by a New Enhanced Multi-objective Optimization of Simple Ratio Analysis Approach with Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Sets
Decision making is an important issue in business and project management that assists finding the optimal alternative from a number of feasible alternatives. Decision making requires adequate consideration of uncertainty in projects. In this paper, in order to address uncertainty of project environments, interval type-2 fuzzy sets (IT2FSs) are used. In other words, the rating of each alternativ...
